The Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra is a 67-member orchestra based in the Centennial Concert Hall in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, and performs throughout the province of Manitoba.

Established in 1947, the WSO played its first concert on December 16, 1948 in the Civic Auditorium to an audience of 3,000. The WSO moved to its present home in the 2,300-seat Centennial Concert Hall in April, 1968.

The WSO performs to over 100,000 audience members each year and more than 80 concerts from September to May.

The WSO continues to provide the musical foundation for other arts groups in the province such as the Royal Winnipeg Ballet, Manitoba Opera and the Manitoba Chamber Orchestra.
